Bollywood always goes a yard ahead and leaves no stone unturned to sell big in the market. Item songs and raunchy numbers are one way of assuring that the movie turns out to be a grand success. Item numbers have been extremely popular since way back in the era of Helen seducing the menacing Gabbar Singh in the movie “Sholay” with “Mehbooba O Mehbooba”. From Madhuri Dixit to contemporary actresses like Bipasha Basu, all have shot to instant, overnight fame with their sensuously bold moves in raunchy item songs. Some of these songs have become very popular and are often remembered, most successful Bollywood movies have at least one item girl doing an item number which is usually raunchy. Here is the list of some of the raunchiest Bollywood song titles of all time:

 

6. Munni Badnaam Hui (Dabangg):

This was one song that ruled the roost. One of the most popular item numbers from 2010, this number sent the waves rippling. Fast paced, catchy and having a distinctive rustic tinge, this item number saw rave reviews from all over the country. This raunchy song was composed by Lalit Pandit and sung by Mamta Sharma and Aishwarya. It featured in the superhit film “Dabangg”. Malaika Arora’s wild gyration added more spice to the music video that also featured Salman Khan shaking a leg with his real-life sister-in-law.

5. Bheege Honth Tere (Murder):

This song deserves the title of one of bollywood’s most sensuous and erotic songs of all time. Bheege Honth shows the sizzling on-screen chemistry between the serial kisser Emraan Hashmi and the bombshell Mallika Sherawat. The lyrics to the song are pretty bold and they have been sung graciously by playback singer Kunal Ganjawala. The music was composed by Anu Malik and this song featured in the 2004 erotic thriller film titled “Murder”.

4. Tip Tip Barsa Pani (Mohra):

Raveena Tandon set the silver screen ablaze with her dance in “Tip Tip Barsa Pani” donning a translucent yellow saree. The scene features a hot rain dance featuring Akshay Kumar as Raveena tries to seduce him with her dance moves. This song came out at the time when item songs and raunchy numbers were not common in Bollywood. The female vocals were recorded by Alka Yagnik while Udit Narayan sung the male vocals.

3. Sheila Ki Jawani (Tees Maar Khan):

The close of 2010 saw a sizzling treat in the form of Katrina Kaif’s bold moves dancing to “Sheila Ki Jawani”. The song became an instant hit; courtesy its urban setting and a raunchy appeal. This was the song that catapulted the movie “Tees Maar Khan” to fame despite it receiving negative and severely condescending reviews from masses and critics alike. Vishal-Shekhar provided the background music and the song was sung by Sunidhi Chauhan for which she was nominated.

Dhak Dhak Karne Laga was a song from the movie “Beta” featuring Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit in lead roles. This movie is perhaps remembered for the song “Dhak Dhak” which earned Madhuri her nickname as the “Dhak-dhak girl”. Her dance was high on sensuality that left the audience spellbound. Madhuri scorched the screen with Anil Kapoor and her famous gyrations were beyond emulation.

1. Ooh La La (The Dirty Picture):

Deservingly number one on this list, “Ooh la la” was from the movie “The Dirty Picture” with Vidya Balan opposite Naseeruddin Shah in lead roles. This song was a pulpy, erotic item number in the movie where Balan played the character of the late southern siren Silk Smitha and Naseeruddin played the part of a southern hero of the 80s. The song emits a retro feel of the 80s era with a look typical of that time. Vidya Balan sizzles in her skimpy outfits dancing to the beats of the song.
